Custom Jewelry Orders:
If you’re interested having jewelry custom made please email or call for more information. Elliot works in-person and remotely with clients all over the world. Custom made jewelry typically takes 8-12 weeks to complete. Most ring styles on the website can be customized through the custom ordering process. Elliot meets with clients Tuesday-Friday, 10am-7pm and Saturdays 12p-4pm. Meetings are by appointment at his jewelry studio located New York City. Please let us know the days/time that works for you to meet. He is also available to meet via FaceTime, Zoom or phone call. We look forward to hearing from you!
Lead Time:
Made-to-order jewelry is created in your choice of metal and ring size. Normally, one of each style of ring is stocked in a size 6 and ready-to-ship. Made-to-order rings take 4-12 weeks to complete depending on the style. Check the products page for lead times or email for an estimate. Lead times may change depending on the time of year. Sales Tax:
8.875% sales tax will be added to all items sold in-person or shipped within New York City. At this time no sales tax is added to items shipped outside of New York.
Insuring Your Purchase:
The order invoice will include the information needed to insure or appraise your jewelry. It is strongly recommended jewelry purchased is insured in case of loss, theft, or damage. Elliot Gaskin Jewelry is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage of clients' gemstones/diamonds, or jewelry orders once they are delivered. An appraisal is not typically needed to insure your new jewelry order with your home insurance policy. We recommend using your home insurance policy or Jewelers Mutual for insurance protection of new jewelry order.
Shipping:
If your order is in stock and does not need to be resized or adjusted, it will ship the following business day. Made-to-order jewelry will ship as soon as it is created (See the items description for lead-times, or you can email for an ETA). Rings that need to be resized take 1 week to ship. All orders are shipped with UPS delivery and come with tracking and insurance. A signature will be required for delivery.
Please note that VAT taxes may need to be paid on international orders before they can be released from customs. The shipping rates listed only apply to orders that are made through the website.

Packages ship fully-insured, come with tracking, and require a signature for delivery. The tracking notification is emailed from the website when your item ships. Check the products description details for shipping lead-times. Lead-time will vary during the holidays.
Ring Size:
If you're in New York City you can set up an appointment with Elliot Gaskin Jewelry to size your finger. Your nearest jewelry store is another easy way to get your size. The correct ring size is needed for custom or made-to-order rings. Please note, that full-eternity and engraved bands can not be resized. Some ring styles can only be resized (+/-) 1-2 sizes. Ring resizing starts at $80 and takes 1-2 weeks to complete depending in the complexity of the ring style. We know that selecting your partners ring size can be tricky if you’re trying to keeping a surprise. Let us know if you need any tips on how to get partners ring size. Cancellation/Return Policy:
Order cancellation must be made within 24 hours of purchase. A 2.9% transaction fee will be deducted from the returned payment. Please note: Returns can not be made on custom orders, made-to-order, or sized-to-order rings. Returns are welcome up to 7 days from delivery on ready-to-ship items. Ready-to-ship items are jewelry that’s in stock and purchased as is without resizing. The shipping fee and 2.9% transaction fee will be deducted from the returned payment. Please email or call to request a fund and return instructions before mailing your return. Returned jewelry must be unworn and in the same condition it was received. You will be notified by email when the returned jewelry is received and issued a refund to the debit/credit card it was purchased with. Refunds can take up to 30 days to process. Elliot Gaskin Jewelry guarantees the diamond/gemstone authenticity and gold karat of all jewelry sold. Each piece goes through strict quality control and is examined under a microscope to insure all stones are set securely. Grading and authenticity certificates for large diamonds will always be provided, if available. Invoices will include all the information needed to insure your jewelry. It is strongly recommended jewelry purchased is insured in case of loss, theft, or damage. Elliot Gaskin Jewelry is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage of clients’ gemstones, diamonds, or jewelry at any time. If a stone becomes loose in your jewelry, it can be repaired quickly and easily. Get in contact as soon as possible so no damage or loss occurs. Most jewelry will need yearly cleaning and inspection for maintenance. Elliot Gaskin Jewelry offers a free cleaning service for all jewelry purchases. Sustainability:
Elliot Gaskin Jewelry only uses ethically sourced and/or reclaimed diamonds from vintage jewelry. 100% recycled gold and platinum is used in all jewelry to reduce the environmental impact of mining. Up-cycled/recycled metal is made from melted down gold scraps, old jewelry and gold dust to create 100% certified new material. Strict quality control procedures are taken to insure the precious metal is clean from impurities and the correct karat quality. Rings are stamped inside the band with the Elliot Gaskin Jewelry logo and gold karat or platinum hallmarking.
